Plymbridge Woods


Family cycle ride which follows the old Great Western Railway track, from the edge of Plymouth you plunge into glorious oak woodland before emerging out into open countryside. The trail leads you past dramatic industrial remains, including towering quarry faces, and across breathtaking viaducts. 

It is a popular place enjoyed by many different users, so expect to meet other people, dogs and children.

There are two trails to choose from a moderate one suitable for cyclists with some off-road riding experience, or the difficult ride for proficient mountain bikers.

Blue Trail grade trail of 2km, which you can repeat the first half of by following the blue arrows for ‘Repeat loop’. There is a Red graded MTB trail of 1.5km too.
