Scolty Hill Trails

On the outskirts of Banchory, just over the River Dee from the town centre, and forms the eastern end of the Forest of Blackhall, Scolty provides good cross country and downhill tracks, and sections of the family friendly Deeside Way. It is also popular with walkers however too, so ride carefully. The large stone tower at the summit of Scolty provides a good landmark.

Scolty Down Hill Tracks - Cycling to Scolty Tower has a few different ways to get there, all of which are signposted from the car park and there are 8 rocky downhill tracks back down off the hill.

Scolty to Shooting Greens Trail - A waymarked cycle trail, from Scolty, part of the DeesideWay, uses forest roads to pass through Blackhall Forest to Shooting Greens.

Lots more, unmarked, great singletrack trails to find throughout Blackahll forest as you explore.
