Sandwell Valley

A country park with a mix of activities, including a nice, big dirt pump/jump track and the Miner's Trail is a dedicated mountain bike trail which includes three kilometres of trails for all abilities, with some exciting and challenging technical features. The trail is free to use.

National Cycle Network route 5 also runs across the park which is perfect for traffic-free family cycling. There are also a couple of long (32 and 42 mile) leisure rides available here too.

Both rides take in Sandwell Valley Country Park, Warrens Hall Country Park, Netherton and Coseley tunnels (so a good front light is a must have), Rowley Hills, Weddell Wynd, Merrions Wood, Red House Park and RSPB reserve.

• Tour de Sandwell MTB - This is a 51km trail which is predominately off-road using green spaces and along canals. It kicks off and ends Forge Mill farm. You can access the trail map here. Download the GPS route
• Sandwell Safari - This is a 67km ride also kicking off and ending at Forge Mill farm. You can access the trail map here. Download the GPS route 

WHERE: Parking at Swan Pool Car Park B71 3SZ (paybyphone app £1.30 for 3hrs). For visitors with roof-mounted bikes, we recommend parking either at Sandwell Park Farm or at Forge Mill Farm.
