From Whitehaven, Cumbria, 221km (138 miles) across northern England, to Sunderland, from the Irish Sea to the North Sea, this is arguably the UK's most popular long distance cycle route, following mostly pleasant NCN (Sustrans) cycle paths.
Note: You can start at either Whitehaven or Workington, and finish in Sunderland or Tynemouth.
