West Country Way

Starting in Plymouth, the route winds its way through two National Park, Dartmoor and Exmoor on the way up to the coast at Minehead, where the Severn Estuary becomes the Bristol Channel.

195km (121 mile) route from Plymouth harbourside, through the wild and rugged Dartmoor National Park, and quaint villages of Devon to the wild moors of Exmoor, and finishing on the rugged North Devon coast.

A large part of the West Country Way is comprised of the Two Moors Way; a bridleway linking Dartmoor and Exmoor. Expect wide traffic-free gravel trails, as well as some muddy climbs, wooded tracks, valley-side singletrack and field trails, linked by quiet lanes through picturesque villages.

Dartmoor is the only place you can legally wildcamp in England.
