Never heard of Pallars? Not surprising really as there’s no big industry based there hyping it up, but this region, Pallars Sobirà, is in the Catalan Pyrenees, Spain, a vast area made up of several valleys, each with its own distinct mountain character.
The area is dominated by mountains which tower over 2000m, with small traditional towns, remnants of ancient Roman architecture and thousand-year-old churches and offers lots of riding, with the Trailforks app listing 559 trails, for over 1,183km of superb riding, rated from Green to Black.
