Ways of viewing GPX files

There are numerous apps (in browser and mobile) that you can import GPX files into, such as:

NOTE: When you receive the gpx files extract / unzip them if they are in a zipped file, then save them on to your PC. 

 

How to import GPX files to Google Maps

1 - Download the GPX file downloaded

2 - Sign into Google's My Maps 

3 - Click on the ‘Create a New Map’ button in the top-left corner.

4 - Click ‘Add layer’ and then click ‘Import’.

5 - Choose the (gpx) file you wish to upload (or you can also drag and drop and it will upload automatically

 

How to import a GPX file into Strava

1 - Download the GPX file

2 - Sign in to Strava and Select ‘Dashboard’ from the top navigation menu.

3 - Select ‘My Routes’

4 - Select 'Create new route’ 

5 - Click the upload button and choose the gpx file you require (from your downloads).

 

How to import a GPX file into a Garmin device

1 - Downloaded the GPX file

2 - In the Garmin Explore App go to ‘Map’.

3 - Click ‘+’

4 - Select a file source, then select the gpx you require from your downloads.

5 - Click 'Done'
