Whippy Trails officially opened
The new partnership between Watford Borough Council and Bike Park Chilterns replaces the previous, informal woodland trails near the SSSI.
This brand new free-to-use trail facility is the first of its kind in the area, and provides a carefully designed, fully sanctioned trail zone that blends seamlessly into the woodland, encouraging responsible riding and community connection.
Built by Bike Park Chilterns CIC and made possible through grant funding, this project has allowed us to deliver a progressive riding environment right on Watford’s doorstep. Ideal for beginners, families, and experienced riders, it’s a huge step forward for local access to high-quality off-road cycling infrastructure.
