What better place for a morning gravel ride than the scenic Peak District? We start from the infamous Bakewell and head out to our first pitch at Baslow Hill. We then take in Barbrook Stone Circle, one of the best preserved stone circles in the Peak District and a cracking sport for a photo.
We take stock of our progress in ancient Hathersage, second Bakewell tart of the day anyone? The highlight of the day is the iconic Mam Tor and watch out for the sting in the tail of the Double Dyke before dropping back down to Bakewell for that delicious post ride pint.
Starting and finishing in Bakewell, this is a fairly challenging route typical for the terrain in the Peaks. We start off with a climb straight away and head past Chatsworth House before continuing North & West to one of the iconic climbs in the region - Mam Tor. It is mostly downhill from here with the exception of Double Dyke 12km from home.
Start Time : From 7.45am
Finish time : Between 12pm and 2pm
