Edinburgh Dash - 29th May

Date: Sun 29 May, 2022

Venue: Gilmerton Hall, Edinburgh

You have 7 days to design your own route between our 6 check point locations before dashing around Edinburgh at your own pace. Go fast or go slow, go solo or in a group - we are sure you'll have a great adventure with this inclusive cycling event designed for all abilities.

The Tartan Dash Series is the ultimate personal challenge designed to test your route planning, navigation and riding skills at your own pace.  Tackle this challenge on your own or as part of a group to collect as many checkpoint stamps as you like while negotiating a route of your choice. This is the ultimate in adventure cycling designed to be inclusive for all abilities.

The Edinburgh Dash 2022 will start and finish at Gilmerton Society Hall just off the A720 inside the Edinburgh bypass. The checkpoints will take you into the Pentland Hills with a cheeky option to take in the view from Arthur's Seat. The Edinburgh Dash 2022 will be mostly gravel terrain.

Each of the Tartan Dash Series events are held in different locations across Scotland with the objective of giving riders the opportunity to experience new routes and terrain as we all supporting local Scottish businesses by promoting destination information about business supporting adventure tourism.

We hope you'll take this opportunity to make a weekend of our event and perhaps stay somewhere close to our Event Hub or check out the local food and tourist activities.

All Tartan Dash Series events are self-supported multiple checkpoint cycling events where participants are given the location of six checkpoints within a 40km circumference of the event hub which they will need to ride to in order to collect stamps on their Rider Card. The check point locations are manned by our Event Volunteer Marshalls armed with a stamp which has been sponsored by a local Scottish business (don't forget to look them up after the event!).
