Venue: Land's End to John O'groats
This gravel event is more of an ultra-race covering 2,000km from Land's End to Cape Wrath on road, gravel, singletrack and everything in between. Famous finishers of this race include Lachlan Morton – it's not a challenge for the faint-hearted.
The ride consists of four timed stages, each about 500km long and the lowest aggregate time over the four stages wins... nothing. As is often the case with ultra races, there are no podiums or prizes up for grabs, just respect from your mates and other cyclists.
