he 3SIX12 is a brand new 12-hour xc mtb endurance race hosted at Newnham Park in Plymouth Devon on the weekend of the 26-28th July 2024.
The format is simple, you can choose from a range of solo race options on all of the time options or pair/team options on the six and twelve-hour races. under 16 can enter the 6-hour pairs and 3-hour races only.
Expect a good sized xc loop around the beautiful Newnham Park that will allow you to take in views of both Dartmoor and Plymouth, the course will have a mixture of single track, fire road, and open field sections and of course, a route directly through the campsite area so your teams, friends and family can cheer you on whilst you are on course.
The camping is free to all competitors from lunchtime Friday until noon Sunday. There will be an event village with a range of different caterers and Exhibition stands, there will be music on the Friday night and a festival feel all weekend.
The race will be digitally timed and live timing will be available so you can check at any time what your position is. Showers and toilets will be on site and there is also mains drinking water.
This whole event is the brainchild of Steve and Jayne Hodgson who are the event organisers, both Steve and Jayne have been organising and running xc races since 2014 in the South West and they are the driving force behind xc racing in the region. Steve has a great eye for course design being a racer himself and has attracted lots of out of region riders to previous races due to the exciting nature of his courses. They felt that there was a huge need for an endurance event in the calendar and the 3SIX12 is the result of that.
