The Abruzzo Trail is a unique bikepacking experience, immersed in the heart of the unspoiled nature of Abruzzo. With routes that wind through national parks, historic villages and the spectacular Costa dei Trabocchi, this event is designed for those who want to experience the beauty and authenticity of the area by pedaling.

The Abruzzo Trail is not a race, but a journey. A route that combines challenge, personal discovery and connection with other cycling enthusiasts. It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture, crossing breathtaking landscapes that tell the story and identity of an extraordinary land.

The Routes

• Classic: 280 km and 5300 m of elevation gain. Ideal for a weekend getaway, it offers an intense yet accessible adventure, traversing national parks and villages steeped in history.
• Explorer: 460 km and 7500 m of elevation gain. A complete experience for the more adventurous, from the Gran Sasso to the Majella to the sea of the Trabocchi Coast.

Both routes are suitable for gravel bikes, MTBs and e-bikes, to ensure a customizable and accessible experience for different levels of preparation.

You will have points of interest on gpx and paper maps, where you can stop for a rest, to refresh yourself and to discover the wonders of Abruzzo. Suitable for both Mountain Bikes and Gravel bikes, with two different routes to improve the user experience in the area.

Located in central-southern Italy, Abruzzo extends from the heart of the central Apennines to the Adriatic Sea, on a predominantly mountainous and wild territory. Its morphology is a real paradise for continental flora and fauna, about 75% of European species are located in our region. Abruzzo is one of the greenest regions of the old continent, the extension of the natural heritage is immense, just think that in this small peninsular region there are three national parks, a regional park, 38 protected areas including oases, regional reserves and state reserves.
