The Pitkin Passage is a weekend bikepacking route that starts and ends in the town of Pitkin, Colorado.
The scenic loop takes in six mountain passes through the Sawatch Range, using forest service roads, doubletrack and singletrack trails for a 100-percent off-road route, covering 113km (70 miles) and over 3,000 metres (12,000 feet) of climbing. A highlight includes the Canyon Creek descent, a 10-mile singletrack descent that descends around 1,000 metres.
