Travelling by train in Scotland gets easier
Scot Rail have unveiled the first of the five Active Travel Carriages which have space for up to 20 bikes of all shapes and sizes - including tandems, and e-bikes. As well as the extra bike spaces, they'll bring a further 24 seats to each service along with space for large and bulky luggage as well as WiFi, plug sockets, and refurbished onboard toilet.
The developments to the West Highland Line means riders will be more easily able to access the west side of Scotland when it goes on to Fort William.
