This inspiring weekend away offers a 2-day adventure which will take place on the 15-16th June 2024, taking you from Dieppe to the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, along beautiful off-road trails.   

Type of riding: XC MTB / Gravel 

Distance: Day 1: 135km / 84 miles with 1,500 metres of climbing / Day 2: 110km / 68 miles with 1,500 metres of climbing

Route information: The riding is mostly non-technical off-road trails, suitable for a hardtail or short travel full-suspension MTB or a Gravel bike. 

Note: The route will not be waymarked, but we will provide GPX files, route maps and have support staff riders.

Itinerary

Friday night: Catching the (11pm) ferry from Newhaven, we sail through the night to Dieppe.

Saturday: An early start will deliver us into the quiet French countryside, where we get to enjoy some wonderful empty trails and a quiet sunrise as you weave your way southwards towards the 'city of love'. The Rough Ride Guide team will be on-hand throughout, with support riders and vehciles, providing amazing refreshments and support all the way. After 130km/80 miles we finally finish the fun (for today) in a town on the banks of the river Seine, where our bike-friendly hotel awaits, with a lovely, and much deserved 3-course meal and good nights sleep. 

Sunday: More wonderful riding awaits us today, with both scenic tracks beside the Seine, to fun forests and beautiful royal parks for lots of off-road, traffic-free riding right to the foot of the Eiffel Tower. There will be time for a few photos and a bite to eat before we transport you (and your bike) back to Dieppe in comfort, ready to catch the overnight ferry back to England, arriving back in Blighty on Monday morning.

Ferry information: We recommend the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry crossing with DFDS, leaving on Friday 14^th at 23.00hrs and returning Sunday 16^th June at 23.59hrs. Make sure you add a bicycle to your crossing, and if you wish a cabin too. You are welcome to travel at a different time and join us in Dieppe for a 5.30am start on Saturday morning. Note: For both ferry crossing you will have your bike and your bag. We have done this for a number of reasons, such as you may wish to cross at different times, it is quicker and simpler at the border control, foot passengers board and disembark before vehicles.

COST: £495 per person, based on 2 people sharing a twin-room. Single room supplements are available, subject to availability, for an additional £60
