Coronavirus Update for London to Brighton Off-Road at Night

Posted on March 9 in Events

With the emergence of Covid-19 dominating the news at the moment, there is understandably much debate about what we should all be doing. In terms of running our [email protected], below is some information on our event so that people can make their own informed decisions as to what is best to do.

Currently, the government states:

"Most people can continue to go to work, school and other public places. You only need to stay away from public places (self-isolate) if advised to by the NHS 111 online coronavirus service or a medical professional."

In view of this information, as our event has a maximum number of participants of 150, this is classed as a small event and so poses a low risk. Various events that have been cancelled are much larger events or events where people are in close proximity to each other i.e. face to face for 15 minutes or more, or are indoor. We currently therefore fully intend to run the [email protected] based on current guidelines.

In terms of minimising large groups of poeple, we will be completing the pre event registration online and will have rider packs ready for collection upon arrival. Food stations will be as meticulously clean as possible and will provide handwashing facilities for people to use before eating.

If you are feeling unwell, you should not attend the event and should ring 111 for further advise.

In the situation of us needing to cancel the event due to government advise, we will provide another date for the event to go ahead - either later in the year or a similar time in 2021. You will have the choice to transfer your ticket over to the postponed event, or to get a refund. If you are currently unsure as to whether to buy a ticket therefore, you need not worry about losing your money if we do have to postpone.

We are very much looking forward to running the first ever [email protected] and really hope that it goes ahead and provides people with an exciting challenge to look forward to completing with some like minded people!!

We will email ticket holders with any changes to the published schedule. In the meantime, stay safe and we hope that you can continue riding!!
